What we say: 
By the river, on the road between the eastern reaches of Tha Sadej and the sunken chedi are a string of temporary, outdoor-seating eateries.
They offer both Thai barbecue and hotpot-style meals. Little exists to distinguish one from the other – menus and prices were pretty similar across the board – so stop at whatever spot looks most comfortable and is busy on the night. It makes for a fun do-it-yourself meal and a relaxing night out by the river. Nearby bars are the next logical destination after dinner, so make sure you leave room for a couple of cocktails to cap off the evening. Though very popular with Thai tourists and locals alike, sometimes little English spoken so be ready to work all your communication skills and enjoy the adventure.
