Best bar scene in town
What we say: 
When the sun goes down and the University students come out, Gad Nan comes to life.
By day, it is a docile shopping cul-de-sac, with a few clothing and art shops worth checking out if you are passing by and happen to notice the big sign out front. However, it boasts no fewer than five different bars that are generally packed on the weekends (unless you happen to come during Thai summer session).
Though the bars are all thoroughly Thai, and you are more likely to find students watching the evening’s football match than you are to find crowed dance floors, it is still a great place to grab a drink, meet some native Nanites(or is it Nanese?), and sample some local youth culture. Feel free to grab a bottle of whiskey on your way, Thai bars will be happy to just sell you mixers and ice.
