What we say: 
The original Cafe Uno is located on the main Chaweng Beach Road, towards the top end, easily recognised with its white awning displaying the name, and white cafe-style table and chairs.
Owner Joel offers the best sandwiches, burgers, salads, breakfasts and daily specials, with an emphasis on quality authentic ingredients. No Thai food here, but hearty portions at reasonable prices.
The coffee is excellent too, and regular expats spend hours talking about nothing and reading the paper over endless cups. Due to its popularity, a second branch has opened towards the end of Bang Rak, this one with a children's playroom, and TVs to watch the sports.
