If you're after Japanese then head to the area just north of Vincom Towers, where you'll find a few quality options.
Izakaya Yancha is a particularly excellent choice, serving fantastic food in a warm and inviting environment.
The downstairs is bar-style, where you can sit and watch the chefs if you so desire, and upstairs is a cosier dining area.
