KOTO
A great cause
What we say:
KOTO was established in to provide training and jobs in hospitality for underpriveledged street kids in Hanoi.
Its current restaurant incarnation is set near the Temple of Literature, and is a convenient spot to drop by for a snack -- their cakes are well worth blowing the diet for -- or a full lunch.
The abundant staff are all eager to please though sometimes miss the mark -- but it's a training restaurant so we have to give them some credit.
Prices are a bit on the high side, though the food is good and the money goes to a very good cause. If you're in the area, then swing by.
At lunchtime, be sure to ask for a seat on the top floor, overlooking the green gardens of the temple next door.
