Extremely popular among, and catered toward, Western tourists, Apocalypse Now is one of the oldest and most famous bars in Saigon.
Known affectionately as Apo by locals and expats, on any given night you can expect a large crowd, throughout the two-storey building, with a healthy mix of tourist and locals.
The crowds are so thick that they now charge a steep 150,000 VND cover on Friday and Saturday night. While the cover gives you one free drink, the deal doesn't seem to be worth it.
