Cocoon cotton travelsheet
Stuff you may find useful
Nothing will have us switching rooms or hotels faster than bedbugs. Unfortunately, it's generally not till the middle of the night that they get around to introducing themselves, leaving their calling card in the form of red bites up and down your legs -- and elsewhere -- that can itch like crazy.
There's only one really straightforward way to avoid them (aside from travelling with your own mattress) and that's by using a sleep sheet like the Cocoon cotton travelsheet. A sleep sheet is usually a cotton or sometimes silk single-layer bag that you sleep in, on the bed. Sort of like a sleeping bag without the bulk -- or the warmth. What it does is give you a clean and bug-free environment to sleep in.
It's a very simple item. If you've got your own sewing machine and a sheet of cotton or silk, you can whip up your own in about five minutes. But if you don't know how to turn a sewing machine on, they're readily available for purchase online.
