Ao Lung Dam is a small bay that is a bit of an afterthought to the longer and far more pleasant Ao Thian which lies just to the north. The latter has far better swimming and accommodation, leaving Ao Lung Dam to mostly handle overflow and a dedicated fan-set rather than lots of casual guests in its own right.

Nevertheless, the bars here are somewhat popular -- perhaps only for their tacky kitsch appeal. Though there's no reason to consider taking a bed at their guesthouse, the bar at Apache Garden View isn't half bad. It's certainly a funky setting, with carved Native American sculptures, a treehouse for rent by the hour, and a restaurant set over the water on a dock. It's a fun place to drink -- especially if you're heading home to a different guesthouse, on a different beach, afterwards.

What sand there is here is a bit on the grubby side, with the beach home to more than its fair share of refuse.

One highlight is a boat departs from here directly to Ban Phe daily at noon-ish for 70B per person -- at least it's easy to leave.
