One of Ko Lanta's smallest but most interesting beaches, Haad Nui (Nui Beach) is the only section of sand that doesn't have a proper entrance.

To find it, look for the fading blue metal sign on the main road and then gingerly edge your way down the dirt-track that's been dug into the hillside.

Nui Beach has no resorts, so enjoy the genuine Robinson Crusoe/Lost atmosphere as you walk alone on the sands. To complete the feeling of being in a wilderness, rocky headlands to the north and south cut off any chance of access via another beach.

It's a wonderful place to sunbathe as you're almost guaranteed to be alone. Swimming is more problematic as much of the coastline is rocky and the tides can be strong here.

There are no amenities here to speak of and the closest guesthouses to Nui Beach are on Ao Kantiang or Khlong Nin.
