Life according to sullivanmarc
Native of Seattle Washington; lived most of my life there. Home base is now Port Townsend, a small town (9,000) 50 miles & one ferry ride north of Seattle. Much of my professional life was focused on energy issues -- promoting renewable energy and energy conservation -- leading advocacy groups and as an executive at Seattle's municipal electric utility.
From the 1970s to the late 1990s, my travel focus was Latin America. I've traveled in mexico (frequently), Guatemala (4 times), Belize (twice), Honduras, Peru and Bolivia. Starting in 1999 I've gotten a little obsessive about southern Asia -- India and adjacent countries, and SE Asia. I've given Pakistan, Bangladesh and Myanmar a miss, but otherwise have traveled extensively and all over this region. I've spent, cumulatively, more than 3 of the last 11 years in Asia.
