Munduk to Seririt Road
Just beautiful
What we say:
The Munduk to Seririt road is breathtaking. From the upper slopes of the central mountains of Bali, the road follows an extremely narrow ridgeline from over 1,200m all the way to the coastal town of Seririt.
The views along almost the entire length of this road are awe-inspiring, with massive ravines, soaring mountain peaks, steep rice terraces and ridge-top towns all providing moments where you just have to pull over and take a photo.
It's sometimes possible to get onto the back roads around here to towns such as Gobleg, where the views are equally fantastic, but this is largely dependent on the condition of the roads, the weather and whether you're prepared to drive on increasingly narrow and sometimes slippery roads.
The journey from Munduk to Seririt is quite short, taking around 30 minutes. From Seririt, it is possible to drive one hour west to Pemuteran or one hour east to Lovina, where there is plenty of traveller accommodation.

Great Ride
26th April, 2012
This is definitely worth the drive...so much so that we did it twice on a scooter from Lovina. The clove forests, hydrangea fields, and spice farms featuring vanilla, cacao and coffee were certainly a treat. Try the Kopi Luwak, coffee beans gathered after digestion by a civet!
