Bali Safari and Marine Park
An excellent family day out
What we say:
This is an excellent day out in Bali for families — though as with all sites of this kind in Bali, get in as early as possible before the crowds thicken.
The park is efficiently organised and run, with plenty of animals — elephants, tigers, Komodo dragons, orangutans — and opportunities to get up close to some of them. Various packages are available so browse their website carefully to choose what will suit you best. We've only done the cheapest Jungle Hopper (US$35 for tourists), which includes a safari bus ride, which was well done, though packages go right through to overnighting at the park. On arrival check carefully the day's schedule to ensure you don't miss any shows or feeding sessions you're interested in.
