What we say:

Hoo Tong Bio is a stunning old-style Chinese temple located in the backstreets of Banyuwangi, not far from Hotel Baru.

This atmospheric temple catering to the local Confucian and Buddhist communities was built in 1784 and is spectacularly adorned in red and gold ornaments, lions and dragons, and provides a interesting distraction if you find yourself stopping in Banyuwangi for a night.

It's open until late in the night and looks especially good when lit up after dark.
