Hiring motorbikes and bicycles
Get out and about
What we say:
The countryside around Muang Sing is quite flat, meaning a good way to get around is by bicycle.
The best can be rented at Tiger Man Treks on the main road, with bikes priced at 20,000 kip for one day and the only motorbike available for rent in town for 100,000 kip.
A number of paths are worth exploring around town. The main paved road running through town heads northeast to the Chinese border about 11 kilometres away. On this road you'll pass a number of small villages and Adima Guesthouse where there is a restaurant and great information about walking tracks to other villages, including printed maps for free.
Other paths around town lead nowhere in particular, which is always an interesting place. There are rice paddies to pass through, small rivers to cross, people working, children playing and herds of cows to navigate past.
