Muzium Kraftangan (Balai Getam Guri), Handicraft Museum

Handicrafts galore

Photo of , , Kota Bharu

What we say: 3 stars

This museum is located within a set-up Handicraft Village, and exhibits various handicrafts such as textiles and songket weaving, batik printing and some silverware.

There are a few interesting antiquated bits on display that make for nice photo ops and with more space to manoeuvre for the perfect Instagram I-was-here moment.

While Muzium Kraftangan doesn't hold a candle to the glory of the other museums in Kota Bharu, but for the price of entry it's worth popping in to help support their efforts.

The village itself has some souvenirs for sale and you might take a break here to grab an ice cream, but doesn't offer too much of interest otherwise.

Vanessa eventually based herself in Langkawi and settled into the island lifestyle. The location offered a gateway to Southeast Asia, from where she continues her exploration of Malaysia, Burma, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Indonesia, Hong Kong and other destinations on her 'to-do' list.
