Climbing, martial arts and paintball
All available in KL
What we say:
As with other capital cities, there are a range of other activities available -- perhaps it is time to rustle the hostel together for a paintball session.
Rather than heading down into the deep blue, those with loftier aspirations can try their hand at indoor rock climbing at Camp 5 in One Utama shopping centre. This facility offers high standards of safety, and the latest equipment, to recreate the thrill of climbing a mountain, without either the danger or the expense.
A number of clubs offer martial arts training, but most of these involve long-term memberships. A better option for visitors is the YMCA in Brickfields, which runs a whole host of classes, such as Aikido and kickboxing.
Last but not least, if you want to forget the art, and just do the martial bit, then TT Sports Park boasts the largest paintball field in Malaysia. It can be pricey for small groups, but for large groups, decent value packages soften the financial blow somewhat.
