Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls

What we say: 4 stars

The most well known of the several waterfalls on Langkawi Telaga Tujuh (7 wells) is at the end of the road going past the Oriental Village.

The lower falls has a spectacular drop into the lower pool and the upper falls has seven connecting natural pools and cascades flowing from Gunung Mat Cinang. As the water makes its way from the main falls, there are plenty of bathing pools to relax in.

Legend has it that the mountain fairies come to bath in the wells at night. It is very picturesque and a great place for a picnic. Please, however pay close attention to the safety precautions because quite a few people have died here. And don't feed the monkeys!

You can't drive or ride all the way to the falls. Instead, when you reach the end of the road, you park and just keep walking. It is about a twenty minute uphill walk to the lower swimming holes. The pathway is clearly marked.
