Chinatown Complex
A little bit of everything
What we say:
If you didn't get your fill of shopping at the Street Market, the commerce continues in the Chinatown Complex.
This indoor market is more for locals than tourists and contains a wet market, sundry shops and a hawker centre.
The basement wet market is liveliest in the early morning when shoppers come to get the freshest fruit, vegetables, homemade tofu and meat — some still alive.
Little is wasted in Chinese cooking so expect to see every part of the animal for sale. The first floor shops sell a hodgepodge of clothing, souvenirs and household items.
