URA Singapore City Gallery
Singapore all planned out
What we say:
Fitting five million people onto a tiny little island takes a lot of planning, and you can learn all about Singapore's efforts at this government-run gallery.
The ground floor exhibits feature flashy video presentations about the city's architectural achievement du jour, but the truly interesting stuff is in the main gallery accessed on the second floor.
This is where you'll find city planning simulators, models of Singapore's physical growth from land reclamation, and a miniaturised city model accurate to the last shopping mall.
Admission is always free.
