Kranji War Cemetery & Memorial
Sobering yet serene
What we say:
A stark reminder of darker times, 4,461 Allied soldiers who died during The Battle of Singapore and the subsequent Japanese occupation lay here.
The names of another 24,346 soldiers from the Navy, Army, and Air Force who gave their lives in Asia during World War II are inscribed on the walls of the towering Kraji War Memorial building.
The cemetery is a very serene, isolated place but still accessible by public transit: take a bus two stops from Kranji MRT.
