The Central
From shopping to clubbing
What we say:
Above Clarke Quay MRT, this riverside mall offers five floors of shopping and dining. While omnipresent chains like Giordiano and Starbucks are accounted for, The Central has more independent retailers than most malls including some unique jewellery stores, handicrafts and clothes from local designers, and regularly hosts outdoor craft markets alongside the river. Restaurants seem to get more expensive the higher you are — from a market in the basement to expensive seafood on the fourth floor — and there's a rooftop nightclub called The Helipad.
