St Andrew's Cathedral
It's that steeple on the skyline
What we say:
Even if religious sites are the last thing on your itinerary you'll definitely notice this cathedral beside City Hall MRT, with its steeple so high it contributes to the skyline.
The current cathedral, a grand English gothic-style building, is actually the third to stand in this spot and was built in 1862 by forced convict labour.
St Andrew's is an active church with regular services and a youth ministry. The expansive grounds are a refuge in downtown Singapore and anyone is welcome to walk around.
