What we say:
After nearly 200 years as a government building, this colonial gem was converted into an arts venue in 2004.
Rather than permanent exhibits, the elegant space hosts a changing line-up of art shows, dance recitals, musical performances, book launches, and any other cultural event in need of a short-term home.
Admission to many exhibits is free — visit the website for a current events listing.
The Arts House is also home to a book and music store, fine-dining restaurants and Timbre Bar with nightly live music.
