Asian Civilisations Museum
An impressive collection of art and artifacts from
What we say:
This riverside museum sets its sights far beyond Singapore with an impressive collection of art and artifacts from across Asia.
Sort of an "Asian Studies 101", permanent displays give an overview of the history, culture and religions of Southeast Asia, China, India and the Middle East. Rather than feeling separate, informational signs and videos link the galleries by discussing historic trade and migration. This is a very enjoyable museum and kids are kept entertained by hands-on galleries and opportunities to dress up in traditional clothes. On Friday nights the museum is open until 21:00 and discounts admission by 50%.
