Universal Studios has translated hits like Shrek and Jurassic Park - plus some less-than-classics like Water World - into rides for this theme park on Sentosa Island.

The majority of rides are fun, family-friendly merry-go-rounds and interactive shows, but if you want to be scared silly there's The Mummy indoor rollercoaster which freefalls backward in pitch blackness and a sci-fi themed duelling rollercoaster.

If you dread queuing in the tropical sun you can upgrade your ticket to an express pass for an additional S$48.

Costumed characters roam the park for photo ops and washrooms, food kiosks and souvenir stands are abundant.
