Siam Ocean World

One of the largest aquariums in Southeast Asia

Photo of Siam Ocean World, , Bangkok

What we say: 2.5 stars

Broken into seven different zones that explore different parts of marine habitats, visitors pass from rocky shores to the open ocean, with reefs, sharks and a wide array of tropical fish swimming all around.

Information is presented both in Thai and English, and there are various activities, including fish feeding, penguin feeding, and a chance to watch the sharks have their dinner. You can also take a ride in a glass-bottom boat to see sharks and rays swim beneath your feet. The experience finishes up with a cheesy, I mean fun cartoon.

Unfortunately, Siam Ocean World is quite overpriced for what you get. It's also one of Thailand's worst offenders when it comes to charging foreigners a separate, much higher price. You'll also need to pay extra if wanting to do any of the extra activities.
