Firefly Village (Muubaan Hing-hoy)

More nature, this time with fireflies

What we say: 3.5 stars

Located towards the end of Petchahung Soi 20 on the southeast side of the peninsula, Firefly Village boasts a network of nature trails that meander along streams and through some 41 rai of forest on both sides of the road.

Another excellent place for spotting birds and wildlife, we spotted a giant crane swooping over one of the canals near one of the trails.

It's worth making a trip here at dusk when the area lights up to the glow of countless fireflies, but it makes for one of the area's better forest walks any time of day.

Just don't forget that mosquito repellent. Admission is free.
