What we say: 1 star

As soon as you reach the area of the National Park, you will begin seeing signs for the Chompoo Phukha Flowers.

These blossoms on a tree that, though once found in many mountain ranges throughout Asia, can now only be found in Doi Phukha NP.

Several kilometres past the Park Office, there is a rather un-ceremonial sign for a trail leading to the area where the trees are. The trail involves some nice scenery, and if you come at the right time of year the flowers are quite beautiful.

They only bloom from January until March, so the walk out to the trees is only really worth it if you visit during those months.

How to get there: If you don't have your own transport ask one of the park staff if they'll give you a ride -- they're a friendly bunch but don't speak any English.
