What we say:

In the middle of the lake, Wat Tilokaram offers a novel experience and an excellent opportunity to get out onto Kwan Phayao for some pictures.

The small platform and shrine in the lake was supposedly built to commemorate and replace a sunken wat of the same name established many years ago.

The departure point for boats headed to the shrine is centrally located along the lakeside stretch of downtown, and at 20 baht a person, there is really no reason not to go.

Leave on the earlier side for cooler temperatures and the later side for early sunset views.

Opening Hours: Daily 8:00–18:00
How to get there: Walk down Chai Kwan Road on the lake side of the road. You will find the dock from where the shuttle boats leave in the centre of the busiest part of Chai Kwan.
