Gibbon Sanctuary
Possible pit-stop on the way to Umphang
What we say: 
There is a Gibbon Sanctuary on the way to Umphang about 50km out of town, on the left side of the road. It's just before the road starts to bend and wind too much so it is possible to make it there safely from Mae Sot -– the trip should take about 1 hour on a motorbike –- and the scenery is breathtaking. If you're unsure about making the trip on your own then just jump on an Umphang bound truck and jump off after 50km. (you can see a sign for the sanctuary from the main road)
