Saigon city tours

Decent option for the time restrained

No pic at the moment -- Sorry!

What we say: 3 stars

While many travel companies in the Pham Ngu Lao backpacker district offer tours of places outside of Saigon like the Mekong delta and Cu Chi Tunnels, they also offer cheap half-day tours of the city itself.

Although all the places included on the tours can be visited independently, it's not a bad option for travellers with limited time. At 150,000 to 300,000 VND for a five-hour tour, it's also generally cheaper than hiring your own transport.

A typical tour consists of being picked up by bus and making rather brief stops at some of Saigon's more obvious sights like Thien Hau Pagoda, Ben Thanh Market, People's Committee Building, Notre Dame Cathedral, Saigon Post Office, and a lacquer factory. Food is usually not provided so it's up to travellers to grab lunch at the market stop.
