Paksan - There isn't that much to do in Paksan!

Other than wandering around town, there is just about nothing to do in Paksan, even the locals suggest going elsewhere!

If you have the time, it is worth walking down to the mouth of the Nam San where there are a couple of small cafes and an impressive school building (along with a view of Thailand).

There are a handful of wats in town of which Wat Si Valai is about the best, with an old chedi and an interestingly styled reclining Buddha.

If you want to shoot some stick there is the Paksan snooker hall out towards the bus station.

A popular local swimming spot is under the bridge over the Nam San where kids swim amongst and hang off the collapsed old bridge. It can get stinking hot in Pak San so you may want to pack your swimmers.
