Southeast Asia and especially Thailand are known for their diving and not surprisingly there's no shortage of operators offering everything from half-day fun dives to multi-day liveaboards.

While Ko Tao is the best known of Thailand's hot spots, the Andaman Sea, best reached from Phuket or Khao Lak is famed for its liveaboard trips and tours out to the Similan Islands.

When comparing tours, be sure to ask after transport times, group size and just how experienced (in number of dives, not just by certification) your guides will be.
