Welcome to Travelfish

100% original Asia travel intelligence authored by dedicated travellers who know what they're talking about.

Organised tours can be manor from heaven when it comes to travelling with children. Particularly in regard to your transport and accommodation needs -- having all this sorted out beforehand can be priceless. Often family tours turn out to be a personalised tour where you're the only family on the trip, so if you're planning on meeting other families, you'll want to check beforehand.

It goes without saying that you should check beforehand that the guides are experienced in leading tours with children. In some cases a family tour is nothing more than a rebadged standard tour -- while there's nothing wrong with this, look around for tours that have been specifically designed with kids in mind -- the extra effort will almost undoubtable pay off.

If you have special needs -- hot water, cots and so on, be sure to clarify what, if any of your needs will be able to be catered for -- cots in particular are rare.
