Welcome to Travelfish

100% original Asia travel intelligence authored by dedicated travellers who know what they're talking about.

Despite the relative ease of travelling in Thailand, it's a hit with tour companies. "Adventure" trips like the ones listed below are very popular, but resort-style package holidays are also huge -- especially those taking people to destinations like Phuket and Ko Samui.

Don't feel your trips are too restricted as there's often considerable scope to mix and match and operators tend to offer a host of "add-ons" allowing you to further expand your holiday. Most trips cover similar destinations -- all of which you'll be able to research on Travelfish, but remember, not all trips are designed equally -- don't make the mistake of looking no further than the bottom line.

Keeping that in mind, here's a few non-price things to keep an eye out for. If the trip includes a trekking element, trekking out of somewhere other than Chiang Mai is preferable. If the trip heads south for beach-time, be sure to check our WeatherFish to make sure you'll have sunny beaches rather than rainy ones. Watch out for trips that have too many internal flights -- the trains are slow but they're relaxing -- too many flights might suggest a cramped itinerary, and you're supposed to be on holiday.
