Amed
Getting there and away
Bus
Onward travel from Culik is either by bemo or larger bus. Larger buses travel to Batubulan (for Denpasar) (35,000 rupiah) and Singaraja (20,000 rupiah) in north Bali.
Perama shuttle buses only visit Amed with a minimum number of passengers and it is more economical to charter your own vehicle.

Getting Around
Amed is spread out over a series of bays and is therefore difficult to get around without your own transport. This becomes especially apparent if staying in accommodation that is away from restaurants or the best snorkelling spots.
It's a good idea then to either rent a motorbike, hire a car or stay in a location with greater access to restaurants and good snorkelling. The most central place is in Jemeluk around Galang Kangin.
Bemos travel to all of the locations along the Amed coast line arriving from Culik. As the day wears on, regularity of bemos thins out and by about 4pm they stop. The fare around Amed is 5,000 rupiah, but expect to pay a little extra if you are staying at some of the more far flung areas such as Banyuning or Aas.
