Bemos travel to Denpasar from what is known locally as bemo corner — the corner of Jalan Pantai Kuta and Jalan Raya Kuta. Simply follow Jalan Pantai Kuta to the east from the beach past Jalan Legian and you will arrive at an intersection with many bemos waiting to take passengers into Denpasar and less frequently to the south to Jimbaran, Nusa Dua and Tanjung Benoa.
Denpasar 10,000 rupiah
Jimbaran 10,000 rupiah
Nusa Dua/Tanjung Benoa 20,000 rupiah
Cabs around town start from 5,000 rupiah and it is best to utilise the ever-reliable Bluebird Group. Other companies can provide fair prices, but will sometimes try and fleece their customers (or refuse to turn on their meters — though in recent times be warned we have heard of the very occasional dodgy Bluebird as well). If a taxi refuses to use the meter, get out.
