Bus
Buses pass through Muang Sui from Vientiane, Luang Prabang and Phonsavan. The bus times are not set, and there's no bus station. To catch a bus, head for the centre of town and wait.
Buses from Phonsavan will arrive in the morning from about 08:00, while buses from the west will arrive in the afternoon, typically from 15:00 onwards. Prices vary and you must pay the driver directly; you will have to flag down the bus on your own.

If you are a little adventurous, you can flag down a passing truck or car. Many trucks or lorries will pick you up and take you to the next big town (Phonsavan to the east or Phou Khoun to the west) for a small sum.
The guesthouse owners are masters at flagging down trucks and helping out tourists -- they even have a handy supply of lao lao for the wait.
