Vang Vieng

Getting there and away

The Vang Vieng bus station is about two kilometres north of town near the high school and, with backpacks, a long way to walk.

Songthaews and tuk tuks were firm at 10,000 kip per head for a ride between the bus station and town, but if you're with a big group it makes sense to negotiate for the whole vehicle. Everyone and their dog sells bus tickets for buses but will charge a small commission. Get them at any guesthouse, tour agency, internet cafe or at the station.
