Getting There and Away

Bus

All buses and minibuses en route from Kanchanaburi to Sangkhlaburi stop in Thong Pha Phum for a five-minute break. Regular buses from Kanchanaburi should take 2.5 hours, air-con buses should take two hours, and minibuses should take about 1.5 hours. Leaving can be a little trickier, as if minibuses are full they won't take on any more passengers, and bus schedules can change at short notice.
