Getting Around
Big Buddha Beach is off the main Ring Road and you may need to take a couple of songthaews to get around. Approximate songthaew fares and times include:
Nathon to Big Buddha Beach/Bang Rak: One may need to take two songthaews, one from Nathon to the traffic lights at Bophut, near the Fisherman's Village entrance (50B – 25-35 min) and another from here to Big Buddha Beach/Bang Rak (30B – 10 min)
Big Buddha Beach/Bang Rak to Choeng Mon: 40B – 15-20 min
Big Buddha Beach/Bang Rak to Chaweng: This will depend on the route of the songthaew. If they are travelling from Big Buddha Beach/Bang Rak to Chaweng via Choeng Mon, rate would be 50-60B, and take approximately 20-30min. If none are available, one would have to travel back to the Bophut traffic lights (30B – 10min) and take another one from here to Chaweng: 50B – 15-20 min (to the Ring Road, longer to the Beach Road).
