Getting Around
Transport in and around Lamai is easy, as it lies on the Ring Road, so songthaews, motorbike taxis and taxis are plentiful, as are jeep and scooter rentals.
Approximate songthaew fares and times are below:
Nathon to Lamai area: This will depend on whether you catch a songthaew going clockwise or anti-clockwise around the Ring Road, as Lamai is half way along the route. Anti-clockwise may be slightly quicker, as there is less traffic on the southern part of the island. Fares should be the same in either direction. 60 baht, taking 35 to 45 minutes.
Lamai to Coral Cove: 30 baht, taking 15 minutes
Lamai to Chaweng: 30 baht taking 15 minutes (to the Ring Road, slightly longer to the Beach Road due to traffic)
