Accommodation in Jepara is thin on the ground, but a few reasonable places exist in the eastern part of town.

Segoro Hotel
Backpacker - Under 150,000 Rp
Jalan Ringin Jaya 2, Jepara
T: (0291) 591 982

Although similar to its peers in terms of facilities, the Segoro Hotel appears to have better maintenance, the rooms appear brighter and the entire complex is like a breath of fresh air. If you're considering one of the budget rooms at the nearby Elim or Kalingga... Read our full review of Segoro Hotel.

Breakfast is also... Read our full review of Elim Hotel.

Jalan Dr Sutomo 16, Jepara
T: (0291) 591 054

This old-style hotel is quite typical in Indonesia; there's a distinct lack of maintenance and a budget atmosphere, and this despite some room prices being mid-range at Kalingga Star. The driver room has a fan, a table and private bathroom with Western toilet and bak mandi. All other rooms have air-con with the most expensive rooms having hot water, but you do pay a hefty price for this luxury.... Read our full review of Kalingga Star.
