Most of the traveller-orientated accommodation in Kuantan is down towards the river, while the best budget bet is close to the Rapid Kuantan Hentian Bandar local bus terminal near Stadium Darul Makmur.

Located on the first floor above a row of shopfronts, (the mint-green coloured) Kuantan Backpackers offers female-only and mixed dorms with enough space to move around in.
