The hotel situation in Narathiwat is fairly limited, but for budgeteers there is a true gem, the Narathiwat Hotel, while there are a couple of adequate mid-range choices available.
This quaint little wooden hotel is built out over the Bang Nara River and is easily the best budget bet in Narathiwat -- some travellers refer to it as the best hotel in the entirety of Thailand. As a more comfortable option, without the downstairs brothel, the Pacific has spotless rooms, all with hot water bathrooms and tv. The beds are firm and the bathrooms clean.
