The hotel situation in Narathiwat is fairly limited, but for budgeteers there is a true gem, the Narathiwat Hotel, while there are a couple of adequate mid-range choices available.
This quaint little wooden hotel is built out over the Bang Nara River and is easily the best budget bet in Narathiwat -- some travellers refer to it as the best hotel in the entirety of Thailand. As a more comfortable option, without the downstairs brothel, the Pacific has spotless rooms, all with hot water bathrooms and tv. The beds are firm and the bathrooms clean. The Tanyong is located towards the beach end of town and has comfortable well kitted out rooms at very reasonable prices. From the rooms on the upper floors you can see the ocean and there is an attached disco and karaoke lounge along with a mainly breakfast-orientated restaurant. Staff are chatty and friendly.
