The accommodation scene in Pattani is pretty bleak. There are only two real choices, the Palace hotel (palace is quiet an overstatement) and the CS Pattani Hotel which is well out of town to the north of the Pattani River

Located a few kilometres out of town, the CS Pattani is solid value for mid-range travellers. The rooms are very well-sized with cable-tv, air-con, hot water bathrooms and rates include breakfast. The hotel has excellent facilities including a pool and kitted out gym. Very professional and friendly staff. Centrally located near the main market (which conveniently doubles as the night market), the sprawling Palace Hotel is the only budget option in Pattani that accepts western guests. The rooms are adequate, with a closet and lacklustre, bordering on non-functioning toilets, but it is fairly quiet and is very well located to the market and the Pattani riverfront.
