There’s a billiards table and an internet cafe (1,000 kyat per hour) in the gigantic reception area. Staff are very friendly, obliging, spoke English very well and are able to offer tours, bus tickets, bike and rubber float rentals. All rooms are air-con with satellite TV, hot and cold water bathtubs, free WiFi throughout and a breakfast buffet is included in rates. Request a ’diamond room’, as these offer the best value: two beds, a stunning view and just a few steps from the beach. A grand swimming pool is located in the centre of the resort and virtually touches the beach. There’s a miniature golf course onsite for 2,000 kyat (actually it’s really just a green for putting practice). This is the best option in town for families travelling on a midrange budget.
