The rooms make the best of what appears to be a well-aged building, but they're clean, there are plenty of them, and they’re cheap.

The staff were friendly, very helpful and spoke excellent English. You can choose between the dorm rooms, which are made of single beds, not bunks, though we didn’t see any lockers for keeping gear safe. The rooms are large, and more attention has been paid to how well they’re decorated than the prices might suggest. There’s a large upstairs veranda, with views of the lake (kind of), and an outside restaurant with a pool table and a few hammocks slung around the grounds. Free bicycles further sweeten the deal. If you're on a budget and don't need any frills, look no further.
