Top value and service
If your budget is a little bit tighter than the $15 rates at Asian and Koh Kong City hotels, then 99 Guesthouse is by a mile the best value in town.
In fact, it’s great value even if your budget goes beyond other venues. It’s a fairly standard Cambodian guesthouse, with smallish rooms — room to walk from bed to bathroom and back again — that have tv, air-con, hot water and comfortable beds. The decor is simple, very simple, but everything is spotless. The staff here were wonderful, and spoke perfect English and French — they grew up in Paris. They can help you to organise tours, and are also very helpful with organising tours and ongoing travel. There is no restaurant, but a fridge downstairs stocks a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Highly recommended.
