More on Koh Ta Kiev

A brand new operation as of 2016, and set up by the same team that created Coral Beach (which we are told will re-open in 2017), Kactus was the smartest set-up we found on Koh Ta Kiev, though still firmly within the same price range as its peers.

Travelfish says:

Sitting at the end of a white, sandy beach, which will pick up fabulous sunsets between October and March, Kactus has a series of two-tier wooden bungalows that are open-fronted for sea views (at the cost of privacy). The bungalows are solidly built, and simply decorated with grass walls, wood-frame beds, mosquito nets, and a “balcony” with papasans for comfortable evening sundowners before joining everyone in the bar. The dorms are clean and open-fronted, with wide comfortable beds.

With a big sunning and chill-out platform looking out to sea, perfect also for live music, the circular bar has social written all over it. The restaurant serves up meals they take enormous pride in, including French and Italian dishes. You need to get your orders in early for dinner.

Boats for Kactus leave at 11:00 from in front of Wish You Were Here on Otres 1 every day.
